Rehearsal Practise
Whenever you think of changing your golf swing, it is vital you get a ‘feel’ for the new movement. It is difficult to achieve the ‘feel’ by hitting ball after ball. When you hit balls you use muscle memory, and more often than not, you will be ingraining bad habits. To change your golf swing, you need to retrain your muscles.
Step 1 – Identify the part of the swing you need to change.
Step 2 – Without the ball, and preferably in front of a mirror, rehearse the new swing position.
Step 3 – When you can complete these rehearsals easily, reintroduce the golf ball to the practise session. Again keep the rehearsals going, hitting one ball to every 5 rehearsals.
REMEMBER – For a practise session to be productive, your good swings must outweigh the bad swings.
